Reptiles Etc is the home of trained animals for education, action and introductions including events, film, photography, phobia coaching, children's parties, fetes, SEN, corporate and more, handled and presented by experienced, studio, classroom and event-Gsavvy qualified professional zookeepers and animal trainers with teaching qualifications!

Based in Essex (but travelling all over) we pride ourselves on our friendly, professional service, offer rates and packages tailored to your budget and requirements and work hard to provide the highest quality experience throughout every step of your journey from inquiry, through booking, to the event itself, regardless of the services required.

We’ve been around for a long time – managing director Grace started taking on freelance work doing talks, events, consultation and reptile rescue on the side of her full-time zoo career back in 2007, and in 2018 rebranded and went full-time, supported by a small team of cherry-picked fellow freelance industry professionals.

Although we specialise in training animals for film, our other services such as education (including lecturing and workshops for colleges, universities and vet schools), encounters and events make up a large portion of what we do, and we are continually developing and expanding our range of services to meet the needs of our clients and engage in our community.

We are passionate about animal welfare and are fully licensed, insured and certified for what we do. We are advocates of science-based practices regards both animal training and husbandry, we care deeply about maintaining our animals in line with up-to-date welfare guidelines and do our best to stay educated and up to date as both technology and industry practices change, grow and evolve.

We care deeply about the environment, operate as sustainably as possible and are committed to inspiring a sense of wonder and responsibility for the natural world.
