What's your best tip for someone who wants to start keeping reptiles?
Research.
Constant research.
Research.
Doing research.
Research.
Do the Research.
Research again.
Do lots of research.
And then research again.
Yes, do lots of research. Watch videos, look up online, read up articles. There's plenty out there to look for.
Sometimes people look at the research side of thing as, "That's the boring part. I really want to get one now." The research side can be really exciting. But sometimes with research, you can hear hear things about reptiles or read things and go, "Maybe that's not for me. Maybe I won't go for that one." And it's so research. It's all about research. Speak to people, different sources, different people, more experienced people. And just know what you're getting yourself int, for sure.
Do as much research for an Ackie monitor as you would for a Leopard gecko. No difference. Find something you're interested in and not something that somebody's told you easy or a beginner reptile because there's no such thing.
